BOULDER DEMOLITION DURING VANCOUVER HOUSE EXCAVATION

During a home excavation, a boulder over 60 cubic feet was uncovered in the corner of the property. The unmovable boulder was delaying the project causing project costs to rise as the contractor explored cost effective solutions for removing the boulder in this quiet urban neighbourhood. 

The contractor approached Apex Rock Breaking Solutions, and our consultant proposed various rock demolition solutions. Our team of rock demolition experts were commissioned to drill the rock and pour NexPro Expanding Grout into the holes. 

Over the course of a weekend, the expanding grout forced the rock to break and the crew was finally able to remove the broken rock pieces out of the site using a small excavator.
